Join GLLS

a. Regular/Family Membership
     1. Pays dues of $25/ calendar year, includes spouse and children living at home who are less then 18 years of age.
     2. One vote for each adult member.
     3. Receives one newsletter per membership.
     4. Must be at least 18 years of age.
     5. Full membership benefits for whole family at organization activities.
     6. One-time $30 track fee, to bring equipment.
     7. All members requested to wear name tags.

b. Newsletter Subscriber
     1. $15 for one year newsletter subscription.
     2. No official club status.
     3. At events, same privileges as public.

c. Independent Junior Member [parents are not members]
    1. 17 years of age or younger.
    2. Pays no dues but must sign up with parental consent.
    3. Has no voting privilege.
    4. Receives newsletter, if requested.
    5. Must be sponsored by a regular member.
    6. Full membership benefits with supervised participation at organization activities.
    7. Must wear a name tag.

d. Honorary Member
     1. Pays no dues.
     2. Has voting privileges.
     3. Receives newsletter.
     4. Must have made a contribution to the Great Lakes Live Steamers or the hobby in general.
     5. Full membership benefits at organization activities.

e. Procedures to acquire Regular membership
    1. Must be sponsored by a regular member.
    2. Goes through probation period of six club activities.
    3. Must attend at least 3 activities, the last of which is a meeting, during the probation period.
    4. Must be voted on at a regular meeting; dues accepted at that time.
    5. Membership is paid on a calendar year basis, no pro-rations.

    7. If a Regular member brings equipment to the track, they must pay a one time track fee of $30.00
    8. Must wear a name tag during probation activities.

f. This section was deleted in March 2005

g. Visiting operators and families
     1. Must check in with an officer.
     2. Becomes a member for that event, must sign in.
     3. An officer will review safety rules.
